It has been just over a week since I have been back to full time ministry, and I am grateful to God that he has given me the energy I’ve needed to complete the tasks he has given me. Although I’m still dealing with managing my recovery, I am in much better place and I’m confident that God is working all things together for my ultimate good.
Firstly, I want to say a huge thank you to every person who has prayed for me, sent me a text message or called. Please accept my apology, if I didn’t always respond in a timely fashion or at all. In some cases, I was in too much pain, not sure how to respond or dealing with brain fog, hence not remembering to respond. However, knowing that I was in your thoughts and prayers meant the world to me.
I also want to say a massive thank you to Pastor Pavle who stepped in, when asked by the SEC administration, to support the leadership team. You may or may not know, that Pastor Pavle is also supporting LondonLive Church, has a full-time job and a family. His work ethic and passion for ministry is inspiring and I am personally impacted by his wonderful support.
I want to thank our leadership team for their commitment to the Church family. Leading a church at the best of times is hard, but to do it in the midst of a global pandemic, whilst potentially being fearful for your wellbeing, concerned for your economic welfare and dealing with personal loss, is incredibly hard! They have pulled together church services every week, Sabbath School discussions, a children’s programme, various other activities to keep us connected, and managed our finances in order that we could continue be a blessing to others in need.
Lastly, I want to thank the church family for still being the body of Christ. You have taken care of one another, through prayer groups, calls and text messages. You have gathered to worship online each week. You have given faithfully to the church through tithes and offerings and supported the hardship fund. You have been awesome!
Over the next quarter Pastor Pavle will still support the Church with preaching & teaching. It is my intention, in the first instance, to work closely with current leadership over the next month. This primarily includes praying for God’s direction and planning the discipleship journey for the church community. The Church Member’s meeting is due to happen in the second quarter, specific date to be confirmed. Once we have a date, I will share this and the agenda two weeks prior. I will gradually get back to one on one phone visitations as my energy levels improve and in-person visitation as lockdown restrictions are lifted. I would like to thank you all for the grace you have shown in this area, thus far.
Please continue to keep the Church Leadership in prayer as we pray for you.
